Who are we?
Broom and Brine is operated by Grace Gamage and Dylan Lehmann. We centre the well-being of each other, the soil, pollinators, and others within our wider communities, and humbly accept that this doesn’t always go to plan.
We wrote a zine when we founded Broom and Brine that acts as a compass when things inevitably get rough. You can read it here.

About our Market Garden
Broom and Brine operates a small market garden that is located on Melukerdee country in lutruwita/Tasmania. We tend plants for people, doing our best to grow a diversity of crops across four seasons.
-
Our garden is made up of 1/4 acre of garden beds and pathways.
-
We’ve been using No Till practices for 3 years. We use a variety of mulches to feed soil life, suppress weeds and improve our clay soil.
-
We use organic growing and pest management practices.
-
We raise seedlings, grow crops and harvest food across 12 months of the year.
